python-collada software package provides Python module for creating, editing and loading COLLADA, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-collada
python-collada is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-collada package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-collada *
You will get with python-collada package name, version, architecture and description in a table
